snapshots from the spring 2011 paris shows

It was a fun season in Paris. There were too many major parties to count, lots of traffic to battle, far too many macaroons to eat, and oh yes lots and lots of beautiful clothes. Below are some of my favorite moments from the season. From the clothes I loved, to the shoes I need, to the parties I can barely remember!

Anna Dello Russo walking in Giles Deacon’s first show for Emanuel Ungaro.

From the Dries Van Noten show. The show was in an underground embankment complete with graffiti.

It’s a Sonia Rykiel army! Why haven’t I been asked to join?

It was one of the best Lanvin shows yet. Grecian influences worn by urban warriors.

Backstage at Rochas. Marco Zanini was inspired the 1960s and Scandinavia.

Outside of Yves Saint Laurent’s show–how chic.

Stefano Pilati is rumored to be leaving the house of Yves Saint Laurent. A shame, he really hit his stride this season.

Duran Duran playing the Fendi party. Pretty major. I’ll always be a Simon Le Bon groupie at heart.

Only Isabel Marant could make wearing pink cutoff shorts look effortlessly chic. The show held at Couvent des Cordeliers drew all the major editors.

Celine’s designer Pheobe Philo has a knack for creating “it” bags. My bets are on this envelope clutch with a shoulder strap for spring 2011. You might want to get on the wait list now.

It was a goth world at Yohji Yamamoto’s show. Black, black and fun patterned tights. How many Voguettes can you spot in the front row?

Karl Lagerfeld muse Brad Kroenig and his son walking in the Chanel show, both wearing matching Chanel tweed jackets of course. Could this be any cuter?

It was Sarah Burton’s first official show for Alexander McQueen. A bittersweet moment, but how spectacular are these shoes?

Marc Jacobs was having an Asian moment at Louis Vuitton. Not quite sure what I think of the show but I love the vibrant colors.

A red gown always closes the Valentino show. This season was no exception.
