lanvin versus lanvin for h&m, a side by side comparison

The images for Lanvin for H&M have hit the web and the general consensus seems to be that the collection is stellar. I can’t help but notice that the collection is like an Alber Elbaz greatest hits collection–much of what is in the H&M collection has appeared in some form on the Lanvin runway in the past. Below see a side by side comparison of Lanvin ready-to-wear versus Lanvin for H&M. What do you think, do you like that the H&M capsule collection so closely resembles what Lanvin has done in the past, or would you have preferred more experimentation? The Lanvin for H&M collection will appear in stores November 20th in the U.S. and on November 23 for the rest of the world (offering just enough time to jet off to Paris or London if you can’t nab your favorite piece stateside).
