The Isabel Marant Forbes boot (price on request, isabelmarant.tm.fr) is taking over LA one pair of feet at a time. The trend was kick-started by the ultimate California girl and LA fashionista Kate Bosworth and now all of the ‘it’ girls seem to be following her lead. What’s all the fuss about? Firstly, the Forbes boot is as comfortable as it is flattering. It has just enough of a heel to give your legs a lift but its small enough to allow you to walk for miles in it. Now I would never dare to profess that LA has noticeable seasons in comparison to a city like New York, but the temperature can change drastically in very short periods of time. These boots are truly wearable in all weather conditions—on a warm spring day they look laissez faire with cut off denim shorts, a t-shirt and a lightweight blazer but on a chilly spring eve they are equally as chic worn with a dress, some tights and a cardigan. Make like an LA girl and grab a pair as soon as you can, I know I have.
